How do I deal with the attention ppl give me because of how i look?

I try to dress so that I present myself well, casual yet chic i guess but people keep giving me too much attention now and i don't know how to deal with it. i never considered myself that pretty and so i wonder why other people do. one person yelled "THERE'S a HOT GIRL COMING YOUR WAY" to his friends and it was kind of weird to me. I don't want to look ugly cus thats usually the response i get but i feel uncomfortable sometimes and treat people differently because of the way they keep looking at me and it's weird.
